What we believe

We believe that baptism is an outward display of an inward decision. There is nothing magical that happens during baptism. It is a new believer showing the church that they have made a decision to follow Christ and are committing their life to God.

We get baptized because:
(1) Jesus was a model of it (Matthew 3:13-17)
(2) Jesus mandated it in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20)
(3) it proclaims the message of our salvation—united in the death of Jesus makes us united in the resurrection (Romans 6:5).
