Prayer Prompts

Prayer changes us because it connects us to the heart of God. As you walk through these 21 days, lean in with expectation—He hears you, He loves you and He is at work.

  • Day 1 – Church Health: Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. – Pray for our church to be devoted to God’s Word, prayer, fellowship, and worship.
  • Day 2 – Community Impact: Jeremiah 29:7 Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” – Pray for the peace and flourishing of your city, neighborhood, and schools.
  • Day 3 – Gospel Spread: Matthew 28:19–20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Pray for boldness in sharing Christ with those around you. We would live out our faith in Jesus and share it with others.
  • Day 4 – Church Health: Ephesians 4:3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. – Pray for unity in our church family across generations and backgrounds.
  • Day 5 – Community Impact: Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. – Pray that our church’s good works would point others to Christ.
  • Day 6 – Gospel Spread: Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. – Pray for confidence in the power of the gospel to save.
  • Day 7 – Reflection & Praise: Psalm 100 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. – Give thanks for God’s faithfulness in our church and community.
  • Day 8 – Church Health: Colossians 1:28 He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.    – Pray for discipleship and spiritual maturity among our church family.   
  • Day 9 – Community Impact: Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.  – Pray that your church would walk humbly, love mercy, and do justice in our community.  
  • Day 10 – Gospel Spread: Colossians 4:3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.   – Pray for open doors for gospel conversations locally and globally.  
  • Day 11 – Church Health: 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.    – Pray for our church family to use their gifts faithfully in service.  
  • Day 12 – Community Impact: Isaiah 58:10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.   – Pray that our church would be a light to those in need and hurting.  
  • Day 13 – Gospel Spread: Acts 13:47 For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “ ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”   – Pray for our church to be a witness “to the ends of the earth.”  
  • Day 14 – Reflection & Praise: Psalm 103:1–5 Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. 2 Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— 3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, 4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, 5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.  – Give thanks for God’s redemption and blessings.  

  • Day 15 – Church Health: Hebrews 10:24–25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.  – Pray for encouragement and perseverance in gathering together. People would come to know Jesus in our worship times.  
  • Day 16 – Community Impact: Galatians 6:9–10 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.  – Pray for faithful love and service to those inside and outside the church. There would be a true sense of community.  
  • Day 17 – Gospel Spread: 2 Thessalonians 3:1 As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.  – Pray for the gospel to spread rapidly and be honored in our neighborhoods.  
  • Day 18 – Church Health: John 13:34–35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”   – Pray that love among members would be a clear testimony of Christ.  
  • Day 19 – Community Impact: Proverbs 11:11 Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.  – Pray for your community leaders, schools, and workplaces to be blessed through the presence of our church.   
  • Day 20 – Gospel Spread: Revelation 7:9–10 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”   – Pray with hope for the day when every tribe and tongue will worship Jesus. God would lead our involvement in global missions. Pray for our church to reach people from all backgrounds in our community for Jesus.  
  • Day 21 – Celebration & Commitment: Psalm 96:1-2 Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.    – Praise God for His glory and commit to living on God’s mission every day.
